I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a refund of £723.05 on the grounds of unemployment was made to the taxpayer on 23 March 1987. The taxpayer was married on 18 October 1986 and the inspector of taxes has requested him to submit details of his wife's pre-marriage earnings and tax deducted to enable a review of the couple's tax liability for 1986-87 to be carried out. No further refund can be made until the taxpayer supplies the necessary details.
The inspector will now communicate again with the taxpayer in the matter.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that, on a recent review of the taxpayer's liability for 1977-78, an overpayment emerged. A cheque in settlement of the refund due will be issued to the taxpayer as soon as possible.
