I am aware of the claim by the town of Wexford VEC that they have been underpaid by £19,000 under the maintenance heading. I do not accept this contention. Vocational education committees were advised of their financial allocations on 16 April 1987. These allocations have been provided from the resources available. It is a matter for each VEC to plan, control and monitor its annual expenditure within its authorised financial allocation.
