Vol. 373 No. 5

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

90.

asked the Minister for Health the reason the South Eastern Health Board are refusing to sanction the application of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford for disabled persons maintenance allowance.

The payment of disabled persons maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for determination by the health board concerned, having regard to all the relevant circumstances in that case.

I had inquiries made of the South Eastern Health Board in this case and have been informed that the board has no record of an application for disabled persons maintenance allowance from the person concerned. If an application is sent to the Programme Manager, Community Care, South Eastern Health Board, Lacken, Dublin Road, Kilkenny, the matter will be considered without delay.
