asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the severe financial problems of the Dominican primary school campus, in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 arising principally from the sharp decline in recent years of the school population and, therefore, the capitation grant paid by her Department; if she has any plans to make available special additional payments for these schools to cover their maintenance; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the difficult financial circumstances of these schools. However, the scheme of capitation grants is of general application and it is not open to me to make additional payments to individual schools.
