asked the Minister for Finance the total amount of income refundable to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who paid £1,038.32 in the year ended 5 April 1986 and who is unemployed since 16 January 1987.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer has not submitted a claim to his Inspector of Taxes for repayment of income tax for 1985-86. The taxpayer should now submit his P60 (statement of pay and tax deducted) for that year to enable a review of his liability to be carried out. On completion of the review, any refund found to be due will be made. All refunds due to the taxpayer for 1986-87 have been made.
