Vol. 373 No. 14

Written Answers. - ISPCC Dispute.

88.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will take personal interest in the industrial dispute presently affecting the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children; and if he will make a statement on the possible resolution to this dispute.

I have kept myself fully aware of the developments in this dispute. The Conciliation Service of the Labour Court has met with the parties on two occasions, but without success. The service remains ready to assist the parties if they so wish or alternatively it is open to the parties to refer the dispute to a full hearing of the Labour Court.

I would urge the parties to use these dispute settling procedures which are available to assist them in finding a solution to this dispute.
