asked the Minister for the Environment for each local authority in respect of 1985 and 1986, the number of compulsory purchase orders confirmed by his Department for: (1) housing acquisition purposes, (2) road widening purposes, (3) general or combined purposes, (4) the average cost per acre of such compulsory purchase orders and (5) the total amounts of money sanctioned by his Department and paid out by local authorities on foot of such confirmed compulsory purchase orders.

The information requested by the Deputy in regard to the number of compulsory purchase orders confirmed in the period to which he refers is set out in the following tabular statement. The other information requested is not available.
