asked the Minister for the Environment when the final instalment of a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Under the terms of the grants scheme this applicant qualifies for a grant in respect of the replacement of windows — external door only and the maximum grant of £800 has been paid.

76.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in issuing payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford despite all relevant and requested information being sent to his Department over three months ago.

The receipt of additional documentation requested from the applicant in July last is awaited.

77.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Waterford who was approved for a house improvement grant has received an increase as a result of reinspection.

The amount of the grant approved has been increased subject to the applicant carrying out additional works. The applicant has been so informed.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

It has been necessary to request a further report from the Department's inspector and on its receipt payment of the grant will be arranged as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in issuing payment of a new house grant to persons (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment of same will issue.

The application relates to both the £2,000 grant and the £2,250 "builders" grant. An inspection with a view to approval of the £2,000 grant will be carried out as soon as possible. Approval to the £2,250 grant must await the receipt of additional documentation recently requested from the applicant.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Waterford has been approved for a house improvement grant; and, if so, when payment will issue.

A grant has been approved under the 1981 improvement grants scheme. Notification that the approved works have been completed is awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment when calculating the amount of house improvement grant due to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford if work carried out by the applicant over and above the main contractor has been taken into account; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A further inspection in connection with the carrying out of the works is being arranged and the applicant will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having a reinspection of a house improvement grant carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and then this inspection will be carried out.

There has been no undue delay. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

83.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford despite the fact that an inspection was carried out in January; and when payment of same will issue.

The final inspection was carried out in September 1987 and payment of the grant will be made as soon as possible.

84.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The receipt of certain information requested from the applicant is awaited.

85.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in issuing payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9; and when payment will issue.

There has been no undue delay. The grant will be paid as soon as possible.
