asked the Minister for Education if approval to commence work on Mooncoin girls' national school in County Kilkenny will issue; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Mooncoin (County Kilkenny) School.
93.
The present staffing of Mooncoin girls' national school in County Kilkenny comprises six teachers, for which there are six classrooms including the cookery classroom. A recent review of pupil numbers attending the school disclosed a trend of falling enrolments. In the circumstances, and because of mounting pressures on my Department's 1988 capital provision and of other competing priorities, it is unlikely that approval to commence work on the proposed extension to the school can be issued in the immediate future.
