Facilities are available for cervical smear testing in the Dublin area at the national cytology laboratory, St. Luke's Hospital, the maternity hospitals and at certain other acute hospitals.
These services are available free of charge to women who are exempt from charges for out-patient services under the Health (Out-Patient Charges) Regulations, 1987, (S.I. No. 115) made under section 86 of the Health Act, 1970.
