The proposal to extend and improve accommodation at this school has been approved in principle. The bills of quantities are under examination in my Department. The estimated cost of this project is £820,000. The restrictions in the capital funds for the second level building programme for 1988, which restrictions are a necessary part of the Government's Programme for National Recovery, preclude incurring additional expenditure on any new building starts during 1988 other than on minor capital works of an emergency nature.
