My Department has decided to sanction the re-establishment of the special class for moderately handicapped children at St. Crone's national school, Dungloe, County Donegal up to the end of the school-year 1987-88. Its continuance beyond that time will be subject to review and will be considered in the light of the number of children from the locality assessed as suitable for enrolment in the class and capable of attending the class regularly.
The Chairman, Board of Management of St. Crone's national school has been advised accordingly.
