asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if, in view of the severe cutbacks in the agriculture budget leading to the loss of 1,000 jobs in ACOT-AFT, he will ensure that the travelling expenses of his Department, estimated at £5.5 million this year or 27 1/2 per cent of the entire ACOT-AFT budget allocation for 1988, will be carefuly monitored and restricted to members of his Department on essential official business with a view to effecting economies in this area.
