The person referred to failed to satisfy the conditions of his probationary appointment to a post in my Department and the appointment was, therefore, terminated. Following legal proceedings in the High Court the solicitors acting on behalf of the person concerned wrote to my Department on 10 March last. A reply to that letter issued from the Chief State Solicitor on 13 May.
