Vol. 376 No. 3

Written Answers. - Milford Grange (County Limerick) School.

15.

asked the Minister for Education when she proposes to start the building of a new primary school at Milford Grange, Castletroy, County Limerick; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has accepted in principle an application from the authorities of Milford Grange national school, Castletroy, County Limerick for the provision of a new permanent school building to replace the existing prefabricated classroom complex. The proposal before the Department is that it should grant-aid eight permanent classrooms initially. Because, however, of the pressure on the capital funds available to my Department for the national schools building programme, I will be unable to provide funding for the project in 1988. My Department will not be in a position to process further the architectural planning of the project until it is clear when a capital allocation may be available.
