In the course of 1988, I expect to travel overseas to attend a number of meetings. These will include the United Nations General Assembly, meetings in the European Community framework, as well as other bilateral visits and consultations. I will also attend meetings of the Anglo-Irish Conference and visit the Irish Community in Britain and in the US, as I have done in the course of this year.
As the scheduling of many of these meetings will be determined by international developments and other factors, it would be impossible to forecast the precise number of overseas visits I shall make in 1988.
