asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the present financial position as between the Central Bank and the Insurance Corporation of Ireland and the Allied Irish Banks, arising out of arrangements made by the Central Bank; the moneys, if any, which are owing or likely to become due to or from the Central Bank in the matter of ICI/AIB.

The position in relation to the financial arrangements referred to is set out in the statement made by the Central Bank of 4 October 1985 which I can make available to the Deputy. There has been no change in the financial position as outlined in that statement.
