The information requested by the Deputy was provided for the years 1982 to 1986 inclusive in my reply to a parliamentary question in this matter on 20 October 1987. In the period 1 January to 30 November 1987 the RAF was called in by the Marine Rescue Co-ordination Centre, Shannon, for air/sea rescue on 46 occasions.
