Vol. 376 No. 9

Written Answers. - Adelaide (Dublin) Hospital.

145.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement with regard to emissions from a chimney in the Adelaide Hospital, Dublin 2, outlining the nature and frequency of the emissions; whether or not inspections have taken place with regard to the black smoke which issues at regular intervals; and the action which is being taken to bring this obvious pollution to an end.

Investigation of particular complaints about air pollution is normally a matter for the local authority concerned, in this case Dublin Corporation. I understand that Dublin Corporation have carried out an investigation in the present instance and have found no cause at the moment for complaint.
