The Deputy is understood to refer to my Department's approval in principle to grant-aid the cost of the extension of and certain improvements to the primary school at Kilcummin, Killarney, County Kerry. Tender documentation for the project has been prepared but because of pressure on the capital resources available to my Department for the national schools building programme, I am not in a position to say when tenders for the project may be invited.
Meanwhile, my Department have under consideration an application from the school authorities for grant-aid towards the cost of improvements to existing facilities at the school.
