As you are aware it is proposed to decentralise 200 staff of the Department of Defence at Galway. In the light of this, and present financial stringencies it has been necessary for the Office of Public Works to re-examine their proposals in relation to accommodation in Dublin for that Department. Accordingly it is not proposed to take any action in respect of the tenders submitted for the new headquarters.
