Details such as the transfer of staff associated with the extension of SFADCo's tourism remit are essentially matters for that organisation and the other two agencies concerned, Bord Fáilte and the Shannonside Regional Tourism Organisation which was voluntarily wound up on 31 December last. However, I understand that nine heads of staff, formerly employed by Shannonside to whom Bord Fáilte had delegated responsibility for its tourism development functions in the Mid-West region, have been transferred to SFADCo with effect from 1 January 1988.
