asked the Minister for Education the reason her Department's officials are refusing to agree to the conversion at the new Killaloe community college, County Clare of the fuel burnt in the boiler which they wish to change from turf to oil with which County Clare Vocational Education Committee are in agreement as to the new chimney stack is a fire hazard when using turf as a fuel.

This particular installation has recently been inspected by an officer of my Department. I am at present considering his report and will notify the County Clare VEC shortly of my decision.

asked the Minister for Education if her Department has a balance of £107,000 still available for the proposed extension to Killaloe community college, County Clare for the provision of woodwork and metalwork rooms.

No specific allocation has been made in the 1988 Estimates for this project, as provision for capital expenditure on the second level sector is made on a global basis.
