asked the Minister for Education if she will confirm that the recent appointment of an assistant teacher to Scoil Aonghusa, Drogheda, County Louth, was on a temporary basis; and whether such a temporary appointment is in breach of the statement issued by the Government on 1 December 1987 and of the precise terms of Circular 24/87 since schools which would be entitled to make a permanent appointment are not now so entitled.
