The intention is that no costs should arise for the Exchequer as a result of the decentralisation programme. Accommodation being provided on a lease-purchase basis by private developers should be cheaper than much accommodation being occupied at present in Dublin by the staff being relocated. Accommodation in Dublin becoming surplus to the requirements as a result of the decentralisation programme will be disposed of in due course. Some expenditure on sites may arise, but the amount cannot be estimated at this stage.
