Vol. 377 No. 9

Written Answers. - Deputy's Correspondence.

116.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason letters sent by Deputy Gay Mitchell and addressed to the manager of an employment exchange (details supplied) in Dublin 8 do not receive replies from that exchange.

In general, all correspondence from Dáil Deputies received in the Thomas Street employment exchange in question is referred by the manager to the central correspondence section for unemployment payments, located at 157-164 Townsend Street, Dublin 2, for official reply. On the basis of the information supplied, it has not been possible to establish any delay or failure to reply to correspondence in respect of unemployment payments from the Deputy. However, if the Deputy cares to provide further details in respect of the correspondence concerned, the matter will be investigated further.
