Discussions are at present taking place between my Department, the North Eastern Health Board and the management of Drogheda Cottage Hospital in relation to the future role of this hospital. A decision on the future funding of this hospital will depend on the outcome of these discussions. In the meantime my Department are making funds available to meet the ongoing requirements of the hospital.
