Tenders for the proposed new school building at Danesfort, County Kilkenny, have been received in my Department and are at present under examination. The outcome of this examination will be conveyed to the school authorities as early as possible.
I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works may commence.

asked the Minister for Education when she will be in a position to put the primary school at Lisdowney, County Kilkenny to tender; when work will commence on the building; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
On 24 February, 1988 my Department authorised the school authorities to invite tenders for the provision of a new national school at Lisdowney, Co. Kilkenny, on the basis of plans prepared by the school authorities. When these authorities forward the tender recommendations to my Department, they will be examined without delay.
I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works may commence.
