As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement I propose to circulate it in the Official Report. Many areas of responsibility of the Department of Communications were reassigned on 31 March 1987. The information in columns (2) and (3) relates to expenditure on those areas for which the Department was responsible up to 31 March 1987. The information in column 4 relates to those areas which are now the responsibility of the Department.
