The only grant scheme of this kind administered by my Department relates to the installation of liquefied petroleum gas bottled gas appliances in rural households. I presume it is to this grant that the Deputy refers.
These grants are available to householders who are not connected to the electricity supply and who because of their location can obtain connection only if they pay a high capital contribution. The maximum grant payable is £35.
