asked the Minister for Finance having regard to Parliamentary Question No. 48 of 23 February 1988 and the reply thereto, if some unexpected difficulty has arisen in relation to the provision of a Garda station in Leixlip, County Kildare; the exact nature of the difficulty or difficulties which may have arisen; if there is likely to be an unforeseen delay in relation to the provision of the station; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Commissioners of Public Works advise that no unforeseen difficulties have arisen and that they are currently examining inspection reports on a number of premises in connection with the provision of a Garda sub-station at Leixlip. When the most suitable property has been identified, it will be necessary for the commissioners to negotiate appropriate terms for its acquisition.
