asked the Minister for the Marine the fishery harbours at present being considered for development; the proposals, if any, he has on hand for the development of these harbours; and the way in which he proposes to fund these developments.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 63 and 64 together.
The developments which are in progress at fishery harbours are outlined on the attached schedule. The developments with the exception of the surveys at Dingle, County Kerry and Helvic, County Waterford which are being funded entirely by my Department are being provided by a combination of State and local authority contributions.
Proposals being considered by my Department in relation to the 1988 allocation for fishery harbours are the provision of a "hard-stand" for boat repairs at Burtonport, County Donegal and reinstatement of the pier at Cladnageeragh, County Donegal.
It is expected that those projects would be funded by a combination of State and local authority contributions.
