Road grants allocated to local authorities for works on national primary and secondary roads may not be diverted to fund works on county roads.
Regarding the general question of funding works on county roads, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Questions Nos. 28, 32, 55 and 133 of 9 March 1988.
