Vol. 379 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin Housing Estate Access Road.

223.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received representations from the Oakwood Grove Residents Association, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, regarding urgently needed improvement works on the access road to their estate where this association was prepared to participate in carrying out much needed work; if he will indicate the necessary funds and resources which will be made available to Dublin County Council to enable this appalling blot on the local environment to be eradicated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have recently received representations on this matter. There are no funds available in my Department for the work referred to. The cost of any improvement work at this location would, in accordance with the normal practice fall to be financed by the local authority from its own resources.
