For reasons which have been explained in this House on previous occasions, I could not undertake to indicate, by way of reply to parliamentary questions, what specific proposals I might have in regard to amending legislation in a particular area.
I would point out that under section 4 (2) (c) of the Law Reform Commission Act, 1975, the function of requesting the Law Reform Commission to examine any particular branch or matter of law is reserved to the Attorney General.
