Under the Community regulations quotas are attached to land (except under the re-structuring scheme) and quotas can only transfer if the lands to which the quotas are attached are also transferred. Therefore, in order for the quota to transfer, the corresponding portion of the farm will also have to be transferred by the father to the son.
