asked the Minister for Energy if the Government have made a decision on the electricity interconnector with England-France.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 57 and 58 together. I have established a working group to evaluate the contribution gas and electricity interconnection could make to meeting future energy requirements. I expect a final report to be submitted by the working group shortly. Until I have considered the report no decision will be taken on future possibilities in this area.
