I am taking Questions Nos. 198 to 203, inclusive, together.

Under my Department's schemes of assistance to youth and sport, annual grants are paid to national or large regional voluntary youth organisations and to national voluntary sports organisations. Consequently, it is not possible to furnish information along the lines sought by the Deputy.

A special fund also exists for the development of special services to disadvantaged young people. Grants from this fund will be made to support local and national initiatives through national youth organisations, vocational education committees or other approved agencies. A final decision on the disbursement of this fund will be made shortly.

The provision of the information in the format requested by the Deputy in respect of my Department's capital grant scheme would involve an inordinate amount of time and I am not prepared to divert staff for this purpose.

However, should the Deputy wish to inquire about a particular project, I will endeavour to supply the information sought.
