Written Answers. - County Waterford National Schools.

210.

asked the Minister for Education the steps which are being taken to rectify the deplorable state of Ballinameela national school at Cappagh, County Waterford; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply which I gave on 10 March 1988 to a previous question regarding Ballinameela national school, Cappagh, County Waterford.

Since that date, the local Office of Public Works have been making arrangements to procure tenders for essential improvements to the existing buildings at the school. In view of the Deputy's interest, I am asking the officers concerned to expedite the matter.

211.

asked the Minister for Education her plans for the Church of Ireland national school, Lismore, County Waterford; and when work will commence.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply which I gave to his question on 27 January 1988. I am not yet in a position to say when work will commence on the building of the project.
