Vol. 380 No. 1

Written Answers. - Bray (Wicklow) All-Irish School.

213.

asked the Minister for Education if she has examined favourably the application by Bray Vocational Education Committee, County Wicklow, for the establishment of an all-Irish second level school in Bray, given the outstanding success of Scoil Chualann primary school and the minimal outlay required because of the existing recently refurbished VEC building in the centre of the town.

The position with regard to the application by Bray Vocational Education Committee for the establishment of an all-Irish second level school in Bray is that on 13 April I met with a deputation from Bray and heard the arguments in favour of an all-Irish school for Bray. My Department have been examining this application and I intend to take a decision on the matter in the light of that examination and in the light of the arguments put to me by the deputation.
