In order to determine the extent of the dredging required at Helvick Harbour, I arranged with the Office of Public Works to have a boring survey undertaken. This has only recently been completed and the Office of Public Works are awaiting the report of the survey.
On the basis of the survey report a dredging specification will be drawn up and costed and financing arrangements will then be decided. It is not possible at this stage to say when work will commence.
