It is not usual practice to disclose details of confidential contracts between Aer Rianta and other companies. However, in this case Aer Rianta have confirmed that the recent award of the contract for the extension to the main runway at Cork Airport to South of Ireland Asphalt Company Ltd., Airport Road, Cork was made on the basis of the lowest and most suitable tender submitted in accordance with the specifications set out by the company.
