Bord Gais Éireann have recently re-evaluated the programme to distribute natural gas in Kilkenny.
Discussions with the major industrial and institutional interests in the area are ongoing. It is essential that these industrial-commercial loads are achieved in order to make a distribution project economically viable. Until such loads are achieved it will not be feasible to go ahead with the distribution project.
