Vol. 382 No. 7

Written Answers - Fisheries Board Meetings Expenditure.

46.

asked the Minister for the Marine the cost of holding a meeting of the Eastern Regional Fisheries Board; the cost in total for the last three years of holding these meetings; the total expenses paid to the chairman over the last six months; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The only expenses involved are the costs of the people attending the meetings. These costs vary depending on the location of the meetings and the numbers attending. The average cost of a meeting (based on the total costs for the last three years) amounts to £952. The total costs of meetings held during the years 1985-87 amounted to £31,413.

The amount paid to individual board members is confidential.
