The Midland Health Board have received tenders for the provision of a new health centre at Portlaoise and the question of the acceptance of tenders is currently being considered by my Department in the context of the capital funding implications of this project and of all the other projects that are included in the health capital programme. Pending the outcome of this examination, I cannot say when it will be possible to allow a start to be made on this project.
