The impact of drought conditions (usually defined as the prolonged shortage or absence of rain or water in an area) on river flows and fish movements is not easily measured. Any decision I might take to prohibit netting on the Moy River, or any river, for reasons of drought, would be based on advice at the time from my scientific and technical staff.
