The data shown is derived on the basis of the first post in a national school obtained by each teacher after graduation, and many of the teachers shown in column 4 may subsequently have obtained permanent posts. However, details are not readily available of these numbers.
The figures shown do not take account of teachers employed on a casual basis as substitutes for those absent on sick leave, maternity leave etc.
