I propose to take Questions Nos. 92 and 94 to 95 together.
The particulars sought in the questions are set out in the following table, which indicates the position on 31 December in each of the years 1985 to 1987 and on 30 September 1988.
The precise allocation of garda manpower to individual stations varies from time to time in the light of changing needs and circumstances. The numbers assigned to Dún Laoghaire Garda station, which is the divisional headquarters for the eastern division of the Dublin metropolitan area, and to Raheny, Coolock and Blackrock stations, which are district headquarters stations, include specialist staff and units that operate on a divisional or district basis.
