asked the Minister for Defence if certain members of the helicopter crews, including a former officer commanding, have left the Air Corps; and, if so, the reason.

I can confirm that, in accordance with the provisions of the Defence Act, 1954 and Defence Force Regulations, certain personnel of the Air Corps have retired or been discharged from the Permanent Defence Force in recent months. While I understand that the taking up of alternative employment is the main reason for leaving, personnel are not obliged to give reasons.
