The Minister for Health is primarily responsible for legislation dealing with the misuse of drugs and any changes in that area would be a matter for him in the first instance.
On the question of legislation to provide for the confiscation of the proceeds of crime generally, the Law Reform Commission have been asked to examine and make recommendations in this matter. Consideration will be given to the commission's recommendations as soon as they become available.
